What is social login and what does it give?
A social login is a login via a social networking account. At the moment, you can associate Google or Facebook accounts with your Goldsaver account.
If we have an associated Google or Facebook account, on the device where we try to log in to Goldsaver we will not have to enter a login and password. We select “Sign in via Google” or “Sign in via Facebook.”

We mostly have our social media accounts logged in on the devices we use every day – phone, private computer – and therefore, we can log in to Goldsaver securely, without having to enter our login and password each time.
Note, however, that such a connection will only be secure if you take care of the security hygiene of your social accounts. It is worth configuring two-factor authentication (2FA) in them, which Goldsaver also has.

How to enable social login in Goldsaver?
To enable social login in Goldsaver, you need to log into your account and then go to the “Account Settings” tab. There you will find, among other things. “Social login settings.” Currently, it is possible to link to a Google account and a Facebook account.
To link your Goldsaver account to a social media account, click the “Link to Google account” or “Link to Facebook account” button, then follow the instructions. If we are not logged into our social account, we will need to log in and agree to the link.
How to disconnect a social account from Goldsaver?
Sometimes it may happen that for some reason we want to separate our social media account from our Goldsaver account. And this possibility also exists.
To do this, just go to the “Account Settings” tab and social login settings. If we have had an associated account so far, there will be an option to “Remove association with Google/Facebook account”.
Registration using a social account
Social login not only allows you to link your existing Goldsaver account to your social network account. With the help of a Google or Facebook account, you can also register an account with Goldsaver.
To do this, after pressing the “Register” button, select “Register via Google” or “Register via Facebook”.
If we want to log in to the account created in this way also “traditionally”, i.e. with a login and password, we will have to use the “Remind password” option when logging in. An email to reset the password will be sent to the email address to which the Google or Facebook account was registered.
Is social login safe?
Social login is safe, as long as you take care of the security hygiene of your social accounts. Otherwise, the takeover of your social account will allow an unauthorized person to log into the Goldsaver store.
To avoid this, remember to use two-factor authentication both in the Goldsaver store and on your social media accounts.
