- Whether the gold comes straight from the manufacturer or from the secondary market, a specialized supplier verifies its authenticity before selling it. In practice, attempts to resell counterfeit placement products to professionals are negligible, and if such items do appear, they are efficiently caught.
- A certificate of authenticity is issued for each bar or coin purchased from Goldsaver or Goldenmark, indicating that the supplier has verified and confirmed the authenticity of the product before giving it to the customer.
- Goldsaver offers in-person gold pickup at one of the Goldenmark network showrooms. During the pickup, a Goldenmark advisor can conduct product verification with the customer. We also recommend all interested parties to familiarize themselves with the available methods of gold verification.
Trusted supplier
Goldenmark is a professional and specialized gold trader that buys physical gold only from verified and reliable sources. These are primarily producers and the global wholesale gold market.
In the relatively young Polish gold market, secondary market bars and coins are a minority. Saturation of the local market is low, and customer interest is far higher than the availability of gold that could be obtained solely from buying. Therefore, mostly new products, straight from the manufacturer, end up in the hands of customers.
Regardless of the source at Goldenmark, all products – before they reach customers – go through an internal verification process. Restrictively checked are both products that come from buybacks (i.e. from individual customers) and products purchased in bulk.
Where does gold come from?
Goldsaver’s customers will receive products imported from manufacturers. Goldenmark, which supplies gold to Goldsaver, offers only products from established and internationally recognized manufacturers, such as Germany’s C-Hafner and South Africa’s Rand Refinery.
In the case of gold bars, this means manufacturers accredited by the London Bullion Market Association, known as the LBMA.
Find out what the LBMA is.
The goal of this organization is to ensure the highest level of integrity and transparency in the global precious metals market. The association creates the Good Delivery list, which is a list of suppliers that meet strict standards (it applies to manufacturers of bars used in interbank trading, weighing 400 ounces, or about 12.5 kg).
The list is managed by a committee that, in addition to industry experts, includes judges who take care of technical evaluation of production on behalf of the world’s largest manufacturers (Argor-Heraeus SA, Metalor Technologies and PAMP SA, or the aforementioned Rand Refinery of South Africa and Tanaka Kikinzoku of Japan).

Certificate of Authenticity
A certificate of authenticity is issued for each bar and coin sold by Goldenmark (and thus also by Goldsaver). This is a document that confirms that the product has been inspected by Goldenmark and the company confirms its authenticity.
In the case of bars, the certificate is also the packaging, known as a certipack, which not only protects the gold from damage or scratches, but is also a guarantee that the bar has not been removed from the package (it cannot be opened and closed unnoticed). The certipack shows the serial number of the bar and its product parameters. The certipack does not exclude the possibility of verifying the authenticity of the bar, for example, on a magnetic balance.
Bullion coins themselves are difficult to counterfeit because they have a precise design that is complicated and expensive to reproduce. When you buy a product from the world’s canon of coins and location bars, you are choosing products that are difficult to counterfeit. On the other hand, catching possible counterfeits by a professional will not be complicated.
How to verify gold?
It is possible to verify the authenticity of gold at any Goldenmark network showroom. In the case of investment products, such as bars from LBMA-accredited manufacturers, or popular contemporary bullion coins, verification is done on the spot.
In contrast, some historical coins or rare numismatic items may require additional verification in a laboratory. Trained employees of Goldenmark showrooms are able to verify the authenticity of locational gold using available non-invasive methods that do not interfere with the structure of the product. First, they check its basic parameters, such as weight, dimensions, method of manufacture, and for bars, additionally the packaging (certipack and magnetic balance indications).

Bars purchased from Goldsaver can be picked up in person at one of Goldenmark’s chain stores, and at the time of collection, once again verify the product with an advisor.
Advisors at Goldenmark showrooms are trained to verify gold, and they also conduct investment gold buying transactions. The repurchased product is meticulously verified in accordance with procedures (including under the supervision of surveillance cameras). Experienced professionals and reliable procedures for conducting transactions at Goldenmark showrooms effectively deter counterfeiters and fraudsters. Occasionally, there are attempts to resell bars or counterfeit coins in salons. However, they mostly end up in places that do not specialize in the trade of investment gold, where the verification process is not carried out in a professional manner.
Goldsaver offers bars from a manufacturer with reputable LBMA accreditation, and a certificate of authenticity is issued for each product. In addition, at each showroom of the Goldenmark network, both when picking up the product and at any other time, customers can benefit from product verification by a professional advisor.
